Toolshelf uses Google Analytics and PostHog for site measurement. This helps identify useful pages, broken flows, slow pages, and browser or server errors.

• Pages opened and the page that referred the visit
• Browser, device, approximate region, and performance details
• Errors and explicit actions such as saving, comparing, or visiting a tool

The current PostHog setup disables session recording, heatmaps, broad DOM autocapture, dead-click capture, surveys, and feature flag requests. PostHog identifiers are kept in local storage, not an analytics cookie, and no person profiles are created. Browser privacy controls and content blockers may limit analytics.

Vercel serves the website and may process normal request and operational logs. Neon stores the public tool catalog and its source evidence. Analytics providers process measurement data under their own terms.

Toolshelf does not sell a visitor's saved shelf, turn it into a public profile, or require personal information before someone can browse the catalog. The catalog itself contains public facts about tools, companies, and people with links back to its sources.
